Five Simple Ways to Set Goals Important to Your Personal Growth

The exercise of goal setting may seem like an overwhelming and huge task, and if you think about it this way, you’re not alone. What should I do with my life? How do I think about the future? What if I don’t have any goals while other people know exactly what they want? And what if I don’t know even how to start thinking about what my goal should be?

Of course it will sound overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.

The way I see it, goal-setting is a combination of several things: understanding yourself and what you truly want, focusing less on what other people want, being realistic, holding yourself accountable, and starting with a simple question that will encourage you to take action.

If you want to figure it out, know that it will be an exercise in introspection. Allow yourself some time to focus on each element, ask yourself questions that will get your mindset on board about goal-setting, and if you’d like use this opportunity to write down your answers. This will be your blueprint for moving forward.
